Calculate character accuracy, word accuracy and typing error rate.
Typing accuracy is calculated by dividing correct entries by total entries. Character accuracy uses correct and wrong keystrokes, while word accuracy uses correct and wrong words.
Error rate is the opposite side of accuracy: it shows the percentage of typed entries that were incorrect.
Divide correct characters or words by the total typed amount, then multiply by 100.
For regular typing practice, 95% or higher is a strong target. Higher accuracy usually makes your WPM more reliable.
Accuracy should usually come first. Once your typing is clean, speed becomes easier to improve.
